Carolinsia Crumbly gave the Lady Braves their largest lead of the game on a made layup with 6:14 to go before the half to make the score 18-7.
The Lady Braves went into the locker room with a comfortable lead, 23-16.
In the second half, the Lady Braves struck first with a jumper by
Renelle Richmond which gave the Lady Braves a 25-16 lead but the UAPB charge was just about to get underway.
UAPB took their first lead since the 16:05 mark in the first half on a three-pointer by Lakendra Marsh giving the Lady Golden Lions a 38-37 advantage.
But the Lady Braves didn't stop fighting when Crumbly nailed a three-pointer with 4:51 to play tying the game at 44-44.
A late layup by Jenise Gentry and a couple of made free throws by the Lady Golden Lions helped put the Lady Braves away for the night.
Crumbly, who was the only Lady Brave in double figures, led the Lady Braves with 10 points.
UAPB had three players in double figures with Gentry leading the way with 14 points. Chigoziany Okwumabua chipped in 13 points. Marsh added 10 points for the Lady Golden
