Braves Drop Third Straight to UAPB

Box Score Lorman, Miss.-The Braves welcomed the Golden Lions of Arkansas Pine-Bluff this afternoon to the "Reservation" but weren't able to pick up the victory.  After jumping out to an early 3-0 lead going into the third inning, the Braves didn't score a single run for the remainder of the game and the Golden Lions defeated the Braves 10-3.

The Braves got on the scoreboard first with Josh Powell hitting a RBI triple scoring Angel Rosa for a 1-0 lead.  Powell would score next on an error by the Golden Lions and the Braves wrapped up the first inning with a 2-0 lead.

Senior Christian Hickman led off the second inning with a single and scored on another error by the Golden Lions to make the score 3-0.  UAPB took over from there.

The Golden Lions scored three runs in the third inning and four runs in the fifth inning to go ahead 7-3.  They managed to hang on to their lead and scored three more to pick up the win, 10-3.

Hickman led the Braves with two hits and one run scored.

The Braves now turn their attention to the weekend as they travel to Huntsville, Ala. to face Alabama A&M in a three-game weekend series on Friday and Saturday.
