Box Score Lorman, Miss.- The Alcorn State Lady Braves soccer team hosted McMurry this afternoon at Spinks-Casem Stadium. The Lady Braves fought hard but fell in overtime to the
Lady Warhawks 2-1.
Phoenix Sullivan put the Lady Braves on the scoreboard first with an assist from
Deborah Quaye to go ahead 1-0.
The Lady Braves held on tight to a 1-0 lead until the closing minutes of the second period on a goal by Holiday Williams to tie the score at 1-1 which sent the game to overtime.
It didn't take long for the McMurry to score in overtime when Aleria Luna connected on a goal form Destin Connally.
Ashley Murray finished the game with six saves for the Lady Braves.
The Lady Braves (0-3) return to action this Friday at the Univ. of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg at 4 p.m
