Box Score Lorman, Miss.-The Alcorn State Lady Braves volleyball team returned to action this evening as they hosted SWAC East foe Alabama State in their SWAC opener. The Lady Braves put up a good fight but were unable to defeat the visiting Lady Hornets. The Lady Hornets won all three sets 25-13, 25-10, and 25-5.
The Lady Braves were led by freshman
Sydney Mellom who recorded three serving aces, six assists, and six digs. Georgia Parson recorded five digs, four assists, and two kills for the Lady Braves.
Tomorrow night the Lady Braves return to action against SWAC East opponent, Alabama A&M at 7 p.m. in E.E. Simmons Gymnasium.
