Box Score LORMAN - The Alcorn State Lady Braves defended their home court as they took on the Lady Hornets of Alabama State. The Lady Braves capped off the night with a 52-49 nail-biting victory over the Lady Hornets to pick up their second consecutive win of the season.

The Lady Braves jumped out to a comfortable 10-point lead midway through the first half. But Danielle Gazaway (11 points) kept the Lady Hornets in the game by knocking down a three-pointer and connecting on her free throws.
The Lady Braves recorde nine steals on the night and shot 32.7 percent from the field.
The Lady Hornets only shot 19.6 percent from the field.
The Lady Braves (3-15, 2-5) welcome Alabama A&M to the Davey L. Whitney Complex Monday night at 5:30 p.m.
