The Lady Braves were outscored 37-17 in the second half and shot 13.5 percent as they fall in their season opener to Nebraska-Omaha 59-39 at Sapp Fieldhouse in Omaha, Neb.
Nebraska-Omaha jumped out to an early 4-0 lead before
Henrietta Wells nailed a jumper to make th score 4-2.
Both teams went tick for tack for the rest of the first half with
Olivia Brown leading the way for the Lady Braves 13 points in her debut. Â The Lady Braves and Nebraska-Omaha were knotted at 22-22 at the half.
Nebraska-Omaha came out of the locker room and went on a 21-2 run to before the Lady Braves were able to score again midway throught the half. Â The Lady Braves cut the lead to 14 points but they came up short.
Brown led the Lady Braves with 13 points.
The Lady Braves face Nebraska tomorrow at 7 p.m.
