After picking up a key SWAC East win on Tuesday night, the Lady Braves were back in action tonight at the Whitney Complex to face rival Jackson State. The Lady Braves fell to Jackson State 3-0 in their SWAC East home finale.
The Lady Braves came out sluggish and lost big in the first set to Jackson State 25-11.
In set two, the Lady Braves came close to tying the match at 1-1 after taking a commanding 19-13 lead. But the Lady Tigers stormed back to defeat the Lady Braves 26-24 to go up 2-0 in the match.
The Lady Tigers finished off the Lady Braves with a 25-13 win in set three.
Lurlethia Jones led the Lady Braves with seven kills while
Heather Jackson finished with five kills.
Sydney Mellom collected 15 assists and five digs.
The Lady Braves play their final home game on Tuesday, Nov. 11th against Grambling State. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
