Tierro Frost scored 21 of her 24 points in the second half but Mississippi Valley had other plans for the Lady Braves tonight. The Lady Braves gave up 28 points in the paint as they fell to the Delta Devilettes 59-56.
Both teams traded baskets for majority of the first half until Mississippi Valley opened a 28-23 lead on a pair of made free throwws from Ashley Beals with 1:25 to play before the half.
Mississippi Valley maintained their lead over the Lady Braves and took a 30-23 lead at the half.
The Lady Braves found themselves down as many as 11 points after the second half but T. Frost scored 13 consecutive points to pull the Lady Braves within two points, 44-42.
Seventeen seconds later,
Anastasia Tuset tied the game for the for the Lady Braves 44-44.
T. Frost began streaking again and this time she scored eight straight points to give the Lady Braves a slight ede, 52-47 with 6:45 to play.
Back and forth the Lady Braves and Mississippi Valley went for the next few minutes but a layup by the Delta Devilettes Christina Reed sealed the deal over the Lady Braves.
