Late Surge by the Lady Braves Help Overcome UAPB, 57-48

Box Score Lorman, Miss. - A late push by the Lady Braves down the stretch came at the right time as they sweep the season series against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 57-48 at the Davey L. Whitney Complex tonight.

The Lady Braves got off to a good start going ahead early 10-4 in the first half.

At the 10:07 mark, Jazmine Victorian tied the game at 11-11 on a made layup.

Several different lead changes occurred throughout the rest of the first half but both teams ended up knotted tight at 22-22 at the half.

Out of the locker room, UAPB came out hot going ahead by as many six, 38-32 with 10:42 to play in the game.

With less than six minutes to go down 46-45, the Lady Braves managed to go on a 12-2 run to close out the game beginning with a huge shot by Anastasia Tust. The Lady Braves also hit their free throws to secure the game.

Despite a poor shooting night, senior Tierro Frost was able to lead all scorers with 17 poins on 13-of -16 shooting from the free throw line.

For UAPB, Calishal Walker led the Lady Golden Lions with 12 points.

The Lady Brave return to action this Saturday as they make the trip to Montgomery to face Alabama State.
