Box Score LORMAN - The Braves couldn't find the rim tonight as they fall to Southern tonight 67-54 at the Davey L. Whitney Complex.
The Braves got off to a great start jumping out to a 15-4 lead with just over five minutes into the first half.
But Southern quickly turned the game around going on a 16-0 run led by back-to-back three-pointers by Malcolm Miller which put the Jaguars ahead 20-15 and they never looked back from there.
Southern led the rest of the way and even pushed their biggest lead to 21 points 62-41.
The Braves could not get into any kind of rhythm shooting a season low 29 percent from the field on 16-of-55 shooting.
LeAntwan Luckett led the Braves with a game-high 18 points.
Marquis Vance added 11 points.
Miller led Southern with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Calvin Godfrey and Tre Lynch each chipped in 10 points.
The Braves and Lady Braves return to the Whitney Complex on Thursday night as they take on Prairie View. Tip-off for the women's game is set for 5:30 p.m. followed by the men at 7:30 p.m.
