Barret Rey was hoping his 100th came in game one a three-game weekend series at Savannah State but today just wasn't the Braves day. The Braves allowed 10+ runs in both games of today's doubleheader to Savannah State, 10-5 and 11-1.
Game 1: Braves 5, Savannah State 10Moses Charles scored three runs for the Braves in game one but the Tigers took a comfortable 4-0 lead in the first inning to put the Braves in a deep hole.
Collin Carroll hit a home run in the fourth inning to cut the lead to 4-2
But a three-run inning in the fifth and eighth innings for the Tigers gave them enough cushion to knock off the Braves.
Game 2: Braves 1, Savannah State 11Eight Braves struck out and they only managed to record four hits in game two.
Moses Charles scored the Braves lone run while
LaDerrick Williams collected two hits on two at bats.
