The Alcorn State men's and womens tennis teams both picked up losses today at the hands of Xavier (LA) this afternoon. The men's team lost 5-3 while the women lost 5-4.
In the women's match,
Aida Kelic and
Ivana Boberic captured the Lady Braves only doubles win.
Siobhan Ryan-Bovey,
Ivana Boberic and
Ekaterina Potopova each earned singles' wins.
For the men,
Ernesto Santillan and
Nikita Kostikov won the doubles match for the Braves while
Nischay Rawal and
Vasudev Vijayaraman captured wins in the singles matches.
Both teams will participate in the first round of the SWAC Championships this weekend in Jackson, Miss.
