A few miscues by the Lady Braves allowed Texas-Arlington three runs in the fifth and seventh innings.
Sophomore pitcher
Jazmin Castillo pitched the entire game and recorded three strikeouts.
Game 2: Â Lady Braves 4, Southeastern Louisiana 10Taylor made her debut on the mound in game two. Â SELA scored on a passed ball to go ahead early, 1-0. Â Senior
Alexandria Harris got things going for the Lady Braves in the bottom of the first inning connecting on a double to advance
Rayven Riggs to third base. Â Riggs scored on a passed ball a few pitches later. Â
Taylor Hughes grounded out to the pitcher but collected the RBI with Harris scoring to give the Lady Braves a 2-1.
SELA came right back and scored four runs in the second inning and one run in the third inning to increase their lead to 6-2.
SELA scored four more runs in the fifth inning. The Lady Braves scored one run in the top of the fifth inning on
Hannah Vesper's single to score Riggs.
Taylor picked up her second hit of the game on a double to right-center field to score
Taylor Hughes.
Taylor pitched five innings, collected two hits and an RBI on the night.
Day two of the Tangi Tourism Classic continues tomorrow with the Lady Braves facing Tennessee-Martin at 12:30 p.m. and Nicholls State at 3:00 p.m.
