Norianna Haynes scored a team-high 24 points but the Lady Braves couldn't keep up with Texas Southern tonight falling 73-55 for their second consecutive loss.
The Lady Braves kept the game close in the first 14 minutes of the first half until the Lady Tigers decided to take extend their lead.
Texas Southern's Morgan Simmons gave the Lady Tigers their first double-digit, 29-18, lead on a made layup with 5:21 to play in the first half.
The Lady Braves fell behind 40-24 at the half.
After the half, the Lady Braves and the Lady Tigers exchanged baskets but the lead was already out of range for the Lady Braves.
The Lady Braves shot 37.7 percent from the field while Texas Southern shot 48.8 percent.
Angelica Wilson-Reid was the only other Lady Braves to score in double-figures with 11 points and nine rebounds.
The Lady Braves wrap up the regular season Saturday at Prairie View A&M. Â Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
