Alcorn’s Four-Game Streak Ends Against Alabama State, 64-51

Norianna Haynes led all scorers with 16 points on the night

Box Score Senior forward NORIANNA HAYNES posted 16 points, six rebounds and four assists on the night, but Alabama State University used a strong second half to end Alcorn's four-game winning streak with a 64-51 win Monday night. With the loss, the Lady Braves fall to 6-9 in conference action.

Alcorn shot 19.4 percent in the opening half and improved to 31 percent in the second half.

The Lady Braves return to action this week with the first of three home games starting Saturday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. when they host Southern University for their Pink Zone game. The Lady Braves will use the Pink Zone game as a way to raise breast cancer awareness. The players will be wearing pink shooting shirts, pink socks and shoe laces pink while the coaching and support staff will all be wearing pink. Fans are also encouraged to wear pink to the game.
