LAFAYETTE, La. – Freshman striker RITA OKORO fired three shots including one on target but the Alcorn State University soccer program dropped a 10-0 decision in its season opener against UL-Lafayette inside the Ragin' Cajuns Soccer/Track Complex.

The Lady Braves (0-1) used 15 different student-athletes including two goalies as they mixed and matched their formations and lineups.

Freshman goalkeeper TAYLOR LINNEY registered 11 saves while fellow freshman GISELLE ROJAS blocked three.

The Ragin' Cajuns (1-1) were led by seven different student-athletes who scored goals.  

Alcorn returns to action Sept. 13 in a 4 p.m. match at Delta State University.  It will play its home and conference opener against Howard on Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. at Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium.
