Alcorn Game Notes | Watch Live
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Playing its lone non-conference opponent of the season, the Alcorn State University football program will travel for its second of a three-game road stretch Saturday against 20th-ranked Arkansas at War Memorial Stadium at 11 a.m.
Â
Alcorn (1-2, 1-2 SWAC) has won five of its last six road games dating back to last season. The Braves went 5-0 away from home last year in conference action. However, Alcorn is looking to shake off a 43-18 outcome last Saturday at Grambling State to begin the three-game road swing.
Â
The Braves will go up against a ranked opponent for the second straight season after traveling to No. 16 Georgia Tech in last year's season opener. The last time Alcorn played a team from the SEC was Sept. 7, 2013 when it fell to Mississippi State 51-7.

Â
At quarterback, redshirt-freshman
Noah Johnson and junior
Lenorris Footman split time against Grambling. Footman is still battling an ankle injury and is a game-time decision for Saturday. Johnson has already seen a lot of action in 2016 and has thrown four touchdown passes and rushed for four more.
Â
Alcorn leads the SWAC in rushing offense, averaging 187.3 yards per game. It has rushed for at least 175 yards in every game this year. The well-rounded ground game is led by junior
