Summary

Biography

Footman posted a team-high 1,134 passing yards in 2016 to go along with 378 rushing yards. He ran for seven touchdowns and threw for six. Footman was a finalist for the 2016 Walter Payton Achievement Award.

In 2015, Footman rushed for 1,142 yards and scored 11 touchdowns in 11 games. The criminal justice major also threw for 1,106 yards and 14 touchdown passes while leading Alcorn to the inaugural Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl.

"He is the leader of this team and an awesome football player," said Alcorn coach Fred McNair. "He is a hard worker and takes pride in carrying this team on his back."

Footman holds the school record for most rushing yards in a game with 274 against Southern in 2015. He's top-15 all-time in career passing in school history with 2,372 yards.
