NOTES
- Friday marks the first-ever meeting between Alcorn and Vanderbilt. The Braves are looking to knock off an SEC opponent for the first time since 1979-80 when they beat Mississippi State 82-75. It was a year after Alcorn topped MSU 80-78 in the first round of the NIT.

- Alcorn is looking for its first non-conference win over a Division I school since Nov. 22, 2012 when it defeated Samford 69-65. Prior to that, the Braves beat Jacksonville State 70-68 on Dec. 13, 2003. The last time Alcorn topped a school from a Power Five conference was in 1990-91 over Indiana 79-77.

- The Braves are 4-0 this year when they outrebound their opponent. They are also unbeaten when leading at halftime.

- Tragedy struck Alcorn at Tulane when senior Reginal Johnson broke his right leg. Johnson was taken off on a stretcher and transported to a nearby medical facility after an air cast was placed on his leg. Johnson is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
