VICKSBURG, Miss. – The Alcorn State University volleyball team will be running a car wash fundraiser Saturday at AutoZone – Vicksburg from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help raise money for the program.
The cost is $10 per car and $15 per truck. The Lady Braves will also be selling baked goods and frozen cups on site.
"We really encourage everyone to come out and support us. Even if you don't want a car wash, donations will go a long way toward building our program supporting our student-athletes," said Alcorn head volleyball coach
Chelsey Nicholas.
The volleyball program is seeking to meet a $15,000 fundraising goal. An additional donation of at least $200 includes recognition on alcornsports.com, an end of the year reception with the team, acknowledgement on the 2017 poster and a game-day warm-up shirt before the home opener.
Donations go toward transportation, recruiting, hotels, nets, shoes, jerseys, warm-ups, practice gear, balls, food and more.
AutoZone – Vicksburg is located at 2008 Clay Street.
