Lady Braves Host Car Wash, Purple vs. Gold Match & Tryouts

Tryout Checklist

LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State University volleyball program will host a series of events over the next six weeks including a fundraiser car wash, an exhibition purple vs. gold match and walk-on tryouts, head coach Chelsey Nicholas announced.
 
The Lady Braves will start it off with a car wash at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 29 at Auto Zone-Vicksburg.
 
Heading into August, Alcorn will host its annual purple vs. gold intrasquad scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 18. The match will be held in the Davey L. Whitney Complex with a 5:30 p.m. start time and admission is free.
 
Just a few days later, the Lady Braves will hold walk-on tryouts for students on campus on Monday, Aug. 21. In order to participate, students must complete all items on the checklist and submit it to the office of compliance by Monday, Aug. 14. Tryouts will take place in the Davey L. Whitney Complex.
