LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State University women's soccer program closes out the regular season Friday when it welcomes Mississippi Valley State to The Reservation at 4 p.m. for Senior Night.
The Lady Braves are the most accurate team in the NCAA this season as 30 of its 52 shot attempts have been on goal for an accuracy percentage of .577.
Alcorn also ranks second in the country for saves per game as their average of 10.8 trails only Mississippi Valley State's 10.9 nationally.
Freshman
Kali Helms has elevated her already high-caliber play this season, ranking fourth in total saves (124) and third in saves per game 8.86 among all qualified goalkeepers.
The goalie from New Caney, Texas is third on the program's all-time single season saves leaderboard going into Friday's season finale and trails Browyn Leeming by 12 for second place.
Sophomore
Paula Solé Cabeza leads the Lady Braves with two goals and six shots on goal while being tied with junior
Mireya Gonzalez for the most points at four.
This will be the final appearance in the purple and gold for Seniors
Giselle Rojas,
Anjelica Dugan ,
Maya McInnis,
Aliyah Bachelor,
Gemma Dunn and
Christina Grybos.
Rojas will end her decorated career as Alcorn's all-time career saves leader after accumulating 179 saves over four seasons while playing over 2,000 minutes between the pipes. The 2018 season was her best as a Lady Brave, notching 77 saves for the eighth-highest total in a single season and ranking top-15 in the NCAA with 6.42 saves per game.
Dugan played four seasons while logging 4,206 minutes and playing 32 complete games in 48 starts. The midfielder/defender comes into Friday's match fourth all-time for career assists with three and had two in 2017, the third-best single season total in program history. She's had 20 career shots with 9 of them being on goal.
McInnis was a Lady Brave for four years as she logged 4,377 minutes while playing 40 complete games in 49 starts, including starting each match this season. She was named Alcorn's Women's Soccer's Most Improved Player in 2018 and has had 11 shots with 6 being on target in her career.
Bachelor had four seasons with Alcorn, logging 1,125 minutes while making 11 starts. The Euclid, Ohio native recorded an assist at Mississippi Valley in 2016 and scored her first career Lady Braves goal vs. Prairie View A&M last season. She's had two shots on goal in three attempts during her Lady Braves career.
Dunn spent two seasons as a Lady Brave, logging 2,352 minutes while playing 22 complete games in 27 starts. The defender from Andover, England recorded three shots in her Lady Braves career with all three being shots on goal.
Grybos played two seasons in Lorman, logging 2,362 minutes while playing 18 complete games in 28 starts. She recorded an assist against Mississippi Valley in 2018 and scored her first career Lady Braves goal against Nicholls on September 13. She's had seven shots on goal and 11 total shots in her Alcorn career.

Scouting the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devilettes (1-13-1, 0-9 SWAC)
The red and green have defeated South Carolina State (3-2) and tied Nicholls (1-1) this season but have dropped all other contests.
MVSU shines in the same categories as the Lady Braves as they lead the nation in saves per game (10.9) and are in the top-15 nationally for shot accuracy at .544.
Goalkeeper McKenzie McCarthy has played the entire season in the net for the Delta Devilettes, leading the country in saves per game (10.9) and total saves (164).
Beatriz Kretteis has provided 55 percent of the team's goals (6 of 11) and 45 percent of the team's points (13 of 29) while currently the fifth-most accurate player in the NCAA at .642 (18 of 28 on target).
The Delta Devilettes lead the all-time series 15-1 with the Lady Braves lone win coming at home in 2011 by a score of 2-0.
