LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State University volleyball program will look to get back into the win column on Monday when it travels to Itta Bena for a Mississippi showdown at 6 p.m.

The Lady Braves (5-23, 2-15 SWAC) sits in second place among SWAC schools with an average of 1.43 aces per set and is fourth in the conference overall at 136 service aces.

Junior
Jasmine Chambers ranks among the league's top setters, ranking top-five for assists per set (5.86) and has took home three SWAC Setter of the Week Awards. The Fort Worth, Texas native comes into Monday's match ninth of the program's single season assists list at 539 and is 15 assists shy of eighth place.

Chambers has also been the go-to server for Coach Robinson this season, averaging 0.28 aces per set, seventh-best in the SWAC, and topping the team with 26 overall.

Fellow junior
Fiapaipai Iosia checks in at seventh among the SWAC leaders for digs per set as she's averaged 3.38. Iosia currently places ninth on the program's single season digs list with 274 while also holding the number one and five spots in the rankings after accumulating 532 in 2017 and 359 last season.

Sophomore
Simone Barren rounds out the Lady Braves among the SWAC leaders, coming in with the eighth-best blocks per set rate (0.65) and fronting the team at 62 total.

Scouting the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devilettes (3-29, 0-16 SWAC)
The Delta Devilettes head into Monday's matchup on a 16-game losing skid with all of them being against conference foes.
Chardea Berthelot has been magnificent behind the service line for the Delta Devilettes, topping the SWAC in aces per set (0.37) while placing second for total aces (33).
Ariana Austin joins Berthelot in ranking among the league's elite servers as she's fifth in service aces per set (0.30). Jessica Bell finds herself inside the top-ten as well, averaging 2.88 digs per set.
Alcorn swept MVSU in its previous meeting this season on The Reservation and the Lady Braves hold a 47-35 all-time series lead.
