LORMAN, Miss. – Former standout
DeAndre Davis from the Alcorn State University men's basketball program has Boras Basket in first-place in the Swedish Basketligan league overseas.
Davis, who starts at the power forward position, is averaging 10.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He put together a big month of December where he averaged 13.7 points and 7.5 rebounds in six games.
Boras sits in first out of 10 teams with an 18-4 record.
A native of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Davis played two seasons at Alcorn from 2015-17. He aided the Braves to a pair of second-place finishes in the SWAC and a run to the finals of the SWAC Championships in 2016-17. In league games, Davis ranked fourth in the conference in field goal percentage (.591) his senior season.
Davis is one of five Alcorn men's basketball players who are currently playing in the pros.
