LORMAN, Miss. – Returning for his third stint with the Lady Braves, first-year head coach
Nathaniel Kilbert has the Alcorn State University women's basketball team preparing for the 2020-21 season.
Alcorn's roster features a strong returning cast including seniors
LaRae Rascoe and
Kirdis Clark, two of the top point contributors for the Lady Braves last season. On the defensive side,
Diamond Hall will look to reprise her role as Alcorn's leader in rebounds and blocks.
Kilbert's squad will also include a few new faces, adding a pair of transfers as well as a couple true freshman to the roster.
"I'm excited to get started," said Kilbert. "Our team has been working hard in preparing for the season and we're looking forward to being back on the court. It's going to be a learning experience for the players and myself, and I'm happy to be back home at Alcorn."
Alcorn is practicing toward a season-opener on Wednesday, Nov. 25. A schedule has not yet been announced.
