LORMAN, Miss. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference released its 2020-21 Preseason Poll, and the Alcorn State University men's basketball program was predicted to finish fifth.
The Braves are under the direction of first-year head coach
Landon Bussie. He inherited a squad with six returners, including seniors
Troymain Crosby,
Kobe Wilson,
Arne Morris,
Mark Carter and
Anthony Fairley.
Bussie also brought in 10 newcomers, including eight transfers and a pair of freshmen.
"I am excited about the upcoming season. We look forward to competing in conference. Of course, we have higher expectations than finishing in fifth place. However, we still have to put in the work and compete to fulfill our expectations," Bussie said.
The Braves are prepping for a season-opener on the road on Wednesday, Nov. 25. A schedule has not yet been announced.
