Braves Return to Action Sunday at Houston

LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State University men's basketball team returns to the hardwood after a three-week hiatus for a Sunday (Dec. 20) afternoon showdown at #6 Houston set for a 3 p.m. tip inside the Fertitta Center.

SERIES HISTORY
Houston holds a perfect 5-0 mark in the series; this is the first meeting since Dec. 9, 2013 where the Cougars cruised to an 89--58 victory.
 
OPENING STORYLINES
 ► The Alcorn State University men's basketball program returns to action with a Sunday afternoon road test at Houston set for a 3 p.m. tip.
 
► Junior transfer Kurk Lee tallied a team-high six FGM and 14 points at UAB in his debut for the purple and gold, scoring eleven in the second half.
 
► Fellow junior newcomer Tyree Corbett also impressed for the Braves, pulling down a team-high seven rebounds and recording 11 points at UAB.
 
► The duo of Lee and Corbett combined for 20 of the Braves' 23 second-half points for the Braves.
