BATON ROUGE, La. – Having just faced LSU on Saturday, the Alcorn State University men's tennis team turned right back around to play the Tigers again on Sunday morning with LSU taking the 7-0 victory at the LSU Tennis Complex.
Starting out in doubles, David Pata and Stojan Stojanovski competed at the top flight and picked up a game before a 6-1 setback. Kareem Bowe and Santiago Rocca played at the No. 2 position and also grabbed a game before a 6-1 score that left LSU with the early 1-0 lead.
In singles, Pata battled hard at the top flight. After picking up two games in the first set he grabbed four more points in the second to end up with six before falling just short, 6-2, 6-4. Stojanovski at No. 3 won two games in each set before falling 6-2, 6-2. Rocca won two games in his match at No. 2 before falling 6-1, 6-1. Bowe played at No. 4 grabbing a game before falling 6-0, 6-1 and Dakota Fernandez competed at No. 5 falling 6-0, 6-0. LSU then claimed the final point at No. 6 by default.
