Crosby Ranked in Top-13 of NCAA Scoring Small Forwards

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Not only has Troymain Crosby recently eclipsed 1,000 career points and earned Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors, but he also ranks in the top-13 of all NCAA Division 1 small forwards in scoring checking in at No. 11.

Crosby averages 19.2 points per game, as the top-13 all average at least 18.7 points per game. The list is topped by San Jose State's Richard Washington Jr.'s 22.2 points per contest. Overall for all positions, Crosby ranks 50th in the NCAA and is second in the SWAC in points per game. Crosby is third in the SWAC in free throws made (38), sixth in field goal percentage (45.1) and seventh in free throw percentage (76.0).

Crosby helped power the Braves to a pair of conference wins this past week leading the team in scoring both games. For the week, he scored 41 points, making 15-26 from the field, 1-3 from three and 10-12 from the foul line. He also grabbed 11 rebounds, an assist and a steal playing 64 minutes. He opened the week with a big game against MVSU tallying 23 points on 9-12 shooting and also grabbed four rebounds. Crosby closed the week with another strong performance collecting 18 points and five rebounds in the win over UAPB.

Alcorn will carry their two-game winning streak on the road this week at Alabama State on Saturday and against Alabama A&M on Monday.
