LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State University women's soccer program will face its most difficult test to date, a showdown with the defending SWAC Champion Prairie View A&M along with Texas Southern this weekend.
The Lady Braves (0-2, 0-2 SWAC) have found the back of the net with all three of its shots on goal this season and its shot-on-goal percentage is a solid 0.429.
Five separate student-athletes have registered at least one point for Coach Larry as
Navani Davis,
D'ana Prieto and
Rosalina Santoro have provided the goals while
Kiarra Colson and
Habana Guerra set them up with the assists.

Scouting the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers (2-1, 2-0 SWAC)
PVAMU has picked up where it left off at the conclusion of the 2019 campaign, beating Grambling State (3-2) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-0) with its only loss coming to Incarnate Word by a score of 2-1.
The Lady Panthers have scored five times this season and have spread the wealth around as no player has more than one.
PVAMU has tallied 19 shots-on-goal in 53 attempts (0.358) and its two goalies have a save percentage of 0.778 with 14 saves.
Alcorn has defeated Prairie View one time in its program history, a 1-0 victory back in 2011.

Scouting the Texas Southern Lady Tigers (1-3, 1-1 SWAC)
Texas Southern faced a challenging non-conference slate of Houston-area schools, falling to Rice and Houston while its conference play has been better as it picked up a win over UAPB (2-0).
The Lady Tigers have only seen two shots make its way past the opposing keeper in 2021, one by Mia Ontiveros and the other from Crisley Pavon.
Oriana Palacios has started all four matches in the net for the Maroon and Silver, registering 30 saves (7.5 per game) and was responsible for shutting out the Lady Lions.
The Lady Braves will be looking to make history Sunday afternoon as the Purple and Gold have never tasted victory against TSU, going 0-17 all-time against the Lady Tigers.
