TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Lady Braves softball team held the No. 2 Alabama to three hits and four runs in a 4-0 loss to the Crimson Tide on Tuesday. In the effort, Alcorn landed one blow but committed two errors to move to 15-25 on the season.

Junior pitcher Kiri Parker (5-6) occupied the mound for six innings for her seventh complete game. She tallied three hits against, four runs (one earned), seven walks, and one strikeout.

At the plate, Miracle Crosby landed the Lady Braves' only hit for a 1-for-2 appearance.

Two players split pitching duties for the Crimson Tide. Lexi Kilfoyl (9-2) started the contest for the win, pitching five innings for nine strikeouts. Alex Salter closed to throw for two innings with three strikeouts.

Aubrey Barnhart, Jordan Stephens, and Savannah Woodard connected for a hit each to round out Alabama's hitting. Stephens also added two runs and one RBI.

The Crimson Tide scored its first run in the bottom of the second inning as Stephens scored on a fielding error by Alcorn's pitcher. Barnhard added a second run in the bottom of the third, scoring on a bases-loaded walk. The last two runs came in the bottom of the fifth when Jenna Johnson scored on an error by the Lady Braves' shortstop, and Stephens came home on a wild pitch.

The Alcorn softball team will be back in action on Friday, April 22, when it hosts Prairie View A&M in the first game of a three-game series. The first pitch is set for 6 p.m.
