LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State baseball team got off to a rocky start in the final game of the three-game series against Grambling on Sunday. Starting pitcher Tyler Feltson hit the first two batters in the Tigers lineup to put two on base with no outs. The Braves' defense pushed back to get out of the predicament, and a run in the bottom would give Alcorn its only lead of the weekend.

Feltson (0-3) took the loss on the mound. He pitched 1.0 inning with two earned runs and two walks. During the contest, three other Braves threw, with Payton Baylis occupying the rise for four innings with nine hits against, seven runs (four earned), four walks, and one strikeout.
Against the Tigers, the Braves scored four runs on 10 hits with two errors. Jermel Ford led at the plate with a 3-for-4 outing for one run. Tyler Daniels led the team in runners batted in to bring in three.
Grambling connected for 13 hits with three errors to bring in 14 runners versus Alcorn. Tre Burrell headed the Tiger offense with three hits on four at-bats and three runs. Cameron Bufford led in ribbies with a game-high of four.
Connor Rudy moved to 3-5 on the mound, throwing for 5.0 innings with eight hits against, three runs (two earned), one walk, and eight strikeouts.
