Braves Baseball Scores Midweek Victory Against Tougaloo

LORMAN, Miss. – The Braves baseball team continues to show improvement as it defeated Tougaloo College, 4-3, Tuesday afternoon at Foster Field inside of McGowan Stadium. With the victory, Alcorn improves to 5-23 on the season, while the Bulldogs fall to 8-25.

To save arms for the massive week of contests ahead, the Braves cycled through several pitchers, with six Braves taking the mound against Tougaloo. Alcorn's starting pitcher Myles Dews was credited with the pitching victory, throwing for three innings with four strikeouts and two hits. Garret Palladino pitched the final inning for the Braves. He tallied one strikeout and one hit against.

At the plate, four braves connected for multiple hits. Ben Martin had a perfect 2-for-2 appearance, while Ben Luckett had three at-bats for two hits, Gavin Caston went 2-for-3, and Michael De Angelis went 2-for-4. De Angelis and Dereco Crosby grained an RBI in the contest, while Martin, Luckett, De Angelis, and Caston had one run each.
