Baseball Tallies 12 Hits in Game Two Versus GSU

LORMAN, Miss. – The Braves baseball team tallied 12 hits in Saturday's contest against Grambling State University. Despite the effort, it was not enough for the victory as Alcorn fell 10-4 to the Tigers in game two of the three-game series.

Four Braves connected for multiple hits against GSU. Kalum Banks, Jr., had two hits, including one double, on four at-bats for three RBIs. Jalon Lucky went 2-for-4, and Garrett Palladino and Jordan Holt went 2-for-5.

Tyler Daniels had one hit to lead Alcorn with two runs, and Palladino and Lucky had one run each.

Kewan Braziel was credited with the loss on the mound. Braziel pitched for 4.0 innings with two strikeouts, 11 hits, and eight earned runs. Austin Delgado took over pitching duties in the fifth inning. He threw for 2.0 inning with two strikeouts.

The Braves will return to action on Sunday, April 16, for the final game of the Grambling series. The first pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Foster Field inside McGowan Stadium.
