At the plate, five Alcorn players connected for hits. Kelsey Lockridge and Mikeria Howard swung for doubles, while Kristian Edwards, Kennedy Terry, and Marsha Hunt had singles.

Six scoreless innings passed before the Lady Braves scored a run and claimed the victory in the top of the seventh frame. Lockridge took the inning's second at-bat to double to right field. Ka'Miya Dillon came in to pinch run for Lockridge and then scored on a double by Howard.

GAME TWO (L, 14-6)

The winning momentum did not carry into the second game. The Lady Braves dropped game two of the doubleheader 14-6.
