Lady Braves Soccer Announce 2023 Soccer Schedule

LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State University Head Soccer Coach Jenna Wallace announced the 19-game schedule for the 2023 season which is highlighted by 10 home games that will be played inside Spinks-Casem Stadium. This is Coach Jenna Wallace's first year at the helm of the Lady Braves soccer program being named the seventh head coach in school history.
 
"I'm excited for some strong tests early in the year to help prepare us for another year of competitive SWAC play", said Head Coach Jenna Wallace. "This team has tons of potential and I can't wait to get on the field with them."

The Lady Braves open the season with an exhibition against Hinds Community College (Aug. 11) followed by the regular season opener against Delta State on Aug. 13th. They then travel to Thibodaux, Louisiana for tilts against Florida International (Aug. 18) and Nicholls (Aug. 20). Alcorn returns home for a match against McNeese on Aug. 25th.
 
The Lady Braves go on the road to Alabama and Louisiana for matches against Jacksonville State (Sept.1), North Alabama (Sept. 3) and Louisiana Lafayette (Sept. 7) before returning to Lorman for matches against East Mississippi (Sept. 10) and Tougaloo (Sept. 15). 
 
Southwestern Athletic Conference play begins with a four-game road trip with stops at Jackson State (Sept. 22), Southern (Sept. 24), Texas Southern (Sept. 29) and Prairie View A&M (Oct. 1). 
 
The next four games of the season will be played at home against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Oct. 6), Grambling (Oct. 8), Alabama State (Oct. 13) and Alabama A&M (Oct. 15) with the regular season finale at Mississippi Valley (Oct. 27).
 
The conference tournament is scheduled for November 2nd-5th to be hosted by Prairie View A&M in Prairie View, Texas. The winner of the SWAC's regular season title will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
