LORMAN, Miss. – The Alcorn State women's soccer team dropped their season opener 6-0 against Florida International in Thibodaux, LA.
FIU (1-0) scored three goals in the first half taking a 3-0 lead into halftime. The Panthers would then go on to score three more goals in the second half taking a 6-0 lead.
Samara Nunn would record the Lady Braves (0-1) lone shot on goal late in the second half.
Olivia Johnlouis got the start in the net and recorded a game high nine saves.
The Lady Braves return to action on Sunday afternoon in Thibodaux with a match against South Alabama.
