Men's Basketball 2023-24 Scheduled Released

LORMAN, Miss. - The Back-to-Back Regular Season SWAC Championship Alcorn State Men's basketball team has released their 2023-2024 schedule. This year's schedule includes 12 non-conference games to kick off the season.

The Braves first game will be in  Fayetteville, Arkansas on November 6th, where they will face the University of Arkansas. Two days later, they will play Xavier University at home in Lorman, Mississippi at the Davey L. Whitney Complex. The following week the Braves will travel to Jonesboro, Arkansas to play Arkansas State on November 14th. Following that the Braves will travel to Birmingham, Alabama to face UAB on November 16th. Days later they will travel to Lansing, Michigan to go against Michigan State. After that the Braves will play in Fort Worth, Texas against Texas Christian University on November 21st. The next day they will travel to Arlington Texas to face the University of Texas Arlington, then after that they will play their last game of November on the 24th in South Carolina against Clemson. 

On December 10^th, the Braves play their first game of the month in Richmond, Virginia where they will face Virginia Commonwealth. They will travel to College Park, Maryland to go against the Maryland on December 12th. Next the Braves will travel to Des Moines, Iowa on December 17th to play against Northern Iowa. For the Braves next two games, they will go against Drake on December 19 in Cedar Falls, Iowa and, on December 21st they will go against George Washington in Washington, DC to closeout December. 

Starting off the new year, the Braves play Jackson State in Jackson on January 6th. One week later they will travel to Huntsville, Alabama on January 13th to play against Alabama A&M. Days later they will travel to Montgomery to play Alabama State. On January 20th and January 22^nd, the Braves will play Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M at home in Lorman. Next the Braves will travel to Tallahassee, Florida on January 27^th to play against Florida A&M and on January 29th they will play against Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach, Florida. 

ASU begins February at home against Southern on the 3rd and then Grambling on the 5th . The Braves will take a trip to Pine Bluff, Arkansas on February 10th to match-up against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. On February 12^th, the Braves play against Mississippi Valley in Itta Bena. For the next three games, the Braves will play Bethune-Cookman (February 17^th), Florida A&M (February 19^th) and Jackson State (February 24^th) in Lorman, Mississippi at the Davey L. Whitley Complex. 

The Braves begin March against Prairie View A&M in on the road March. Days later, they will go against Texas Southern in Houston on March 4^th. The Braves closeout the regular season against Mississippi Valley (March 7^th) and Arkansas Pine Bluff (March 9^th) at home.
