Lorman, Miss. – Alcorn State men's basketball has announced its 2025–26 schedule, a 30-game slate that blends a rigorous nonconference lineup with a balanced Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) campaign. The Braves will test themselves early with a series of high-major road contests before returning to The Reservation for nine league home games that promise to energize the Alcorn faithful.
The season tips off on November 4 when the Braves travel to Florida State. The early stretch continues with stops at South Alabama on November 6, Minnesota on November 8, Maryland on November 11, and Howard on November 13. The schedule doesn't ease up as Alcorn faces LSU on November 18, Oklahoma on November 23, and participates in the Louisiana Tech Tournament on November 28–29. December brings even more national tests with road games at Iowa State on December 3, Baylor on December 19, and Ole Miss on December 29 to close out the calendar year.
Conference play begins on January 3 with a trip to rival Jackson State before two more road contests at Alabama A&M on January 10 and Alabama State on January 12. The Braves make their long-awaited home debut on January 17 against Texas Southern and follow with Prairie View A&M on January 19. A road swing takes them to Bethune–Cookman on January 24 and Florida A&M on January 26 before returning home to host Southern on January 31 and Grambling on February 2.
February shapes up as a pivotal month for the Braves, beginning with road contests at Arkansas–Pine Bluff on February 7 and Mississippi Valley State on February 9. Alcorn then enjoys a three-game homestand that includes Bethune–Cookman on February 14, Florida A&M on February 16, and the rivalry rematch with Jackson State on February 21. The Braves close the month with visits to Texas Southern on February 26 and Prairie View A&M on February 28.
The regular season concludes in front of the home crowd as Mississippi Valley State comes to town on March 3, followed by Arkansas–Pine Bluff on March 5, setting the stage for postseason play. In all, the Braves will play 19 true road contests, nine home games, and one neutral-site appearance, ensuring a battle-tested roster when the SWAC Tournament arrives.
Dates and opponents are subject to change. Game times, broadcast assignments, and promotional details will be announced at a later date.
