GRAMBLING, La. — Alcorn volleyball dropped a straight-set decision to Grambling on Sunday afternoon, falling 10-25, 15-25,17-25 inside the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center. The Lady Braves (1–16, 0–4 SWAC) couldn't slow down the Lady Tigers (3–11, 2–2 SWAC), who hit .325 as a team.
Courtney Carter led Alcorn with four kills and six digs, while Rylan Jones added three kills and four and a half points. Kasey Watkins contributed a service ace and seven digs, and setter Juliana Henao finished with seven assists.
The Lady Braves showed late energy in the third set but couldn't complete the comeback against Grambling's balanced offense.
Alcorn will stay on the road to face Arkansas–Pine Bluff tomorrow in another SWAC matchup.
