HAMMOND, LA – Alcorn State baseball showed fight but was unable to generate enough offense in a 10-0 road loss to Southeastern Louisiana on Friday afternoon at Alumni Field. The Braves put together several scoring opportunities but struggled to capitalize, leaving nine runners on base in the contest.
Reyfield Adams led the Braves at the plate with a 2-for-4 performance, while
Jaylon Burrell also collected two hits and added a stolen base.
Jermel Ford, Kalum Banks,
Nathan Gamez, and
Jeremiah Farmer each recorded a hit, but Alcorn was unable to push across a run.
On the mound,
Hunter Bell got the start and worked four innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits while striking out one.
Luke Sanders and
Stephen Hunt pitched in relief, with Sanders surrendering four runs and Hunt allowing one.
Terrance Johnson also saw action on the mound, facing four batters in the seventh.
Southeastern Louisiana controlled the game with a steady offensive attack, scoring in five of their six innings at the plate while holding Alcorn scoreless despite the Braves collecting nine hits.

- Southeastern added two more runs in the bottom of the seventh on a sacrifice fly and an RBI single to cap the scoring.
- The Braves made a final push in the eighth with runners on base, but a double play ended the game due to the 10-run rule.
