LORMAN, Miss. – Due to the forecast of potential inclement weather, Alcorn State University has announced the cancellation of all scheduled events for Saturday, April 5, as part of the 2025 ASU Purple & Gold Weekend.
The safety of our student-athletes, staff, and fans remains our top priority. After closely monitoring the weather conditions and in consultation with university and event officials, a decision was made to cancel the following events:
- Driven Elite Flag Football Speed & Agility Camp
- All-American Bowl: Florida Meets Mississippi
- Purple & Gold Spring Spring Game
Despite these cancellations, the Braves football team will still hold an open practice at 9:00 a.m. inside Spinks-Casem Stadium, providing fans with an opportunity to get a first look at the 2025 squad. Additionally, a team autograph session will take place at 11:00 a.m., giving fans a chance to interact with coaches and student-athletes.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and take advantage of this opportunity to support Braves football. As a reminder, only the visitor side of the stadium will be open for seating during these events.
