LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State baseball closed out the 2025 season with a hard-fought 9-3 loss to Florida A&M on Saturday afternoon at Rat McGowan Stadium. The Braves (6-43, 1-29 SWAC) showed resilience with a three-run rally in the ninth inning, but the Rattlers (30-23, 24-6 SWAC) maintained control throughout the contest with timely hitting and aggressive baserunning.
Florida A&M jumped out to an early 4-0 lead through two innings and held Alcorn scoreless until the eighth.
Jermel Ford, Reyfield Adams, and
Ty Boze each delivered extra-base hits in the ninth to help spark a late surge, while six different Braves recorded hits in the finale.
Despite the loss, the Braves finished the season with their best offensive inning of the series, stringing together four hits and three runs in the final frame.

Florida A&M Builds Early Cushion
- The Rattlers scored one in the first and added three more in the second behind a two-RBI triple from Broedy Poppell and a sacrifice fly by Jay Campbell to make it 4-0.
