Alcorn State enters the weekend continuing to build through conference play after earning its first SWAC victory last Saturday at Alabama A&M. The Braves have shown steady growth on the offensive end, averaging 65.3 points per game while knocking down 7.5 three-pointers per contest this season.
Shane Lancaster has been the engine of the Alcorn offense, leading the team at 11.7 points per game while shooting an efficient 52.3 percent from the field and 55.0 percent from beyond the arc.
Tycen McDaniels adds 9.3 points and a team-best 4.4 rebounds per game, bringing physicality and consistency in the paint.
Jameel Morris contributes 9.1 points per game and leads the Braves in assists, providing steady control at the guard spot, while
Davian Williams and
Nick Woodard combine for over 16 points per contest, giving Alcorn multiple perimeter scoring options.
Defensively, the Braves continue to emphasize activity and effort, averaging 7.7 steals per game and 3.8 blocks, with Williams and Morris both ranking among the team leaders in steals. Alcorn will look to improve its rebounding margin and limit second-chance opportunities as conference play continues.
