LORMAN, Miss. – Due to the weekend's winter storm that affected much of the South and Midwest, Thursday evening's originally scheduled Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women's Basketball contest between Alcorn and Grambling State has been postponed. The game will now take place as part of an Alcorn versus Grambling State women's and men's doubleheader on Monday, Feb. 2, beginning with the women's tip-off at 5 p.m.
 
Snow and ice affected much of the Grambling, Louisiana area, forcing the university's cancellation of classes until further notice. As for Alcorn, the Lorman, Mississippi campus was closed Monday, Jan. 26, also due to ice in the southwest Mississippi area of the "Magnolia State".
