Houston, TX – Alcorn State scored twice in the second half to rally from a two-goal deficit and earn a 2-2 draw against Texas Southern on Sunday afternoon in Southwestern Athletic Conference women's soccer action.

The Lady Braves (5-4-5, 2-0-4 SWAC) extended their unbeaten streak to six consecutive matches, marking the longest such streak of the season. The draw also gives Alcorn its most ties in a single season in program history, both overall and in conference play.

Alcorn made history in another category, as three players have now scored at least 10 goals this season for the first time in program history.

Texas Southern took a 2-0 lead with goals in the 38th and 42nd minutes, carrying the advantage into halftime.

The Lady Braves responded quickly after the break when Larissa Joso Luma scored her 10th goal of the season in the 47th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1.

Sophia Bobie followed in the 59th minute with her second goal of the season, bringing Alcorn even at 2-2. The Lady Braves finished with 14 shots, including 10 in the second half, as they battled back to secure the draw.

Annick Zouma continued her strong stretch, recording a point for the fifth consecutive match.

The comeback marked another resilient performance for Alcorn, which last rallied from a two-goal deficit to earn a draw against McNeese State on Aug. 31, 2025.
