Vicksburg, Miss. – Lady Braves (4-4-3, 1-0-2) powered past the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions Thursday afternoon with a 17-0 win.
Larissa Joso Luma opened the scoring in the third minute, finding the back of the net at 2:17 off an assist from Annick Zouma. Grace Ambrose added another goal in the ninth minute, with Zouma recording her second assist.
Ainara Aldeano pushed the Lady Braves' lead to 3-0 at the 9:36 mark after receiving an assist from Sophia Bobie. Alcorn added its fourth goal at 15:24 on an own goal ,before Zouma found the back of the net at 27:45 to make it 5-0.
Sofia Sepulveda extended the advantage to 6-0 at 30:09, scoring off another assist from Zouma. Ambrose capped the first-half scoring at the 34-minute mark, with Luma providing the assist.
Alcorn entered halftime leading Arkansas-Pine Bluff 7-0.
The Lady Braves added 10 more goals to their offensive onslaught in the second half.
Alcorn picked up where it left off, with Annick Zouma scoring at 50:32 to make it 8-0. Bridget Sakyi added another goal just 41 seconds later before Natalie Penniston-John found the back of the net at 54:54, with Zouma providing the assist.
Grace Ambrose extended the lead to 11-0 at 60:21, combining with Zouma and Penniston-John on the play. Zouma completed her hat trick at 65:50 before adding her fourth goal of the afternoon at 70:53.
Sakyi scored her second goal at 73:17, assisted by Ainara Aldeano, before Larissa Joso Luma added Alcorn's 15th goal at 77:12, also assisted by Aldeano. Ambrose closed out the scoring with back-to-back goals at 81:45 and 83:02, giving her five goals on the afternoon.
Zouma finished the match with four goals and five assists, leading the Lady Braves' offensive attack in the 17-0 victory.

Alcorn finished with 17 goals, 12 assists, 46 points, 30 shots and 23 shots on goal, posting a 56.7% shot percentage and 76.7% shots-on-goal percentage. The 17 goals and 46 points marked the most in a single game in Alcorn history, while Grace Ambrose also moved past the previous mark for most goals in a single season.
