The Lady Braves held the lead once the entire game but were outscored by Jackson State's bench 65-15 en route to their third consecutive loss, 65-41 at the Davey L. Whitney Health and Physical Education Complex tonight.
Ather Cep knocked down a three-pointer at the 17:31 mark of the first half to give the Lady Braves a 3-1 lead but it was all about the Lady Tigers for the rest of the way.
Jazmin Strane hit a three-pointer at the beginning of the second half after the Lady Braves trailed 34-20 at halftime but for the next eight minutes the Lady Braves went scoreless.
Jackson State went on a 12-0 run to extend their lead to 23 points and they never looked back.
Strane led all scorers with 13 points and seven rebounds.
The Lady Braves are back in action Monday night against Grambling State. Â Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
