The Alcorn State baseball team will have their hands full this weekend as they look to take down Mississippi Valley State in a three-game series at Willie "Rat" McGowan Stadium.
Both teams are battling for the final spot in the SWAC East for the SWAC Tournament in less than two weeks.

Scotty Peavey has been red hot for the Braves at the plate hitting four homeruns in the last four games for the Braves. He is currently leading the team batting .353 on the season.
Collin Carroll hit a homerun in all three games in a weekend series last week vs. Prairie View A&M. He leads the SWAC and the team in homeruns with a total of 10 this season.
First pitch of Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for noon followed by game two at 3:00 p.m. The series will conclude on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
