MONTGOMERY, Ala. – After a 5-0 loss to Alabama A&M University Friday, the Alcorn State University soccer program dropped a 9-2 decision Sunday to Alabama State at the ASU Soccer Complex.
The Lady Braves (1-10, 1-8 SWAC) were only able to manage five shots including one on goal from freshman
Gabrielle Jones-Hall against the Lady Bulldogs (3-14, 2-6 SWAC).

Taylor Linney tallied nine saves between the posts.
The Lady Hornets (7-9-1, 6-2-1 SWAC) outscored Alcorn 5-0 in the first 49 minutes of the match.

Rita Okoro then scored two goals during the 51
st and 60
th minutes. Her first goal came from about 40 yards out into the left corner. She then tapped in a deflection off of a penalty kick for her seventh goal of the season to make it 5-2.
Alabama State tallied four more goals including two from Lexi Krieger in the final 30 minutes. Krieger earned her first career hat trick as she also netted the ball in the 33
rd minute.
The Lady Braves conclude the regular season in a 3 p.m. match Friday at Mississippi Valley State University.
